Reporting to the Superintendent - Environment, you will facilitate programs and inspections necessary for the maintenance and compliance of all relevant laws and regulations, manage consultants in various environmental and wildlife programs, and participate actively in all HSEC activities. You will work effectively and safely in a team based organization.

As the successful candidate you will possess a University degree in a technical/ scientific discipline, with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience. You will be a self starter and have the ability to work effectively with territorial and federal governmental agencies, members of environment groups, Aboriginal groups and the general public. Experience in conflict resolution, mediation and facilitation would be an asset. Cumulative and extensive field experience in lieu of the required academic qualifications will also be considered.

The EKATI Diamond Mine is located 300 kilometers northeast of Yellowknife and is accessible only by plane. This rotation is 4 days on site, followed by 3 days off. The successful candidate is expected to reside in Yellowknife; relocation assistance is available if necessary.
