Capital Specialist
Hotazel, Northern Cape
Department: Finance
Role Description:
We need the expertise of qualified Finance people in the Financial field to assist with amongst other, effective cost control, reporting, corporate governance, forecasting, Investment evaluation and budgeting on various capital projects in the financial field. Two positions are available and prospective candidates will be appointed on a fixed term contract for 3 years.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
• Relevant B.Com/B Tech or equivalent qualification
• At least 5 years professional experience in a financial environment.
• Knowledge of Project Management will be advantageous.
• Computer competence in MS packages is essential.
• Knowledge of SAP will be an advantage.
• Medically fit.
Key Performance Areas:
• Managing cost control of relevant capital projects in area of responsibility.
• Annual budget preparations.
• Cost allocation and control.
• Compilation and submission of timeous and accurate internal and external reports.
• Corporate governance
• Adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
• Financial Analysis on capital applications.
• Benefit tracking on completed capital projects.
• Data analysis.
• Interaction with customers and stakeholders
Skills Requirements:
The successful candidate will be required to possess the following skills/ competencies:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• An ability to build and maintain beneficial relationships.
• Good understanding of the Paterson method of job evaluation, an advantage
