Reporting to the Superintendent - Business Performance & Reporting you will be responsible for all aspects of management accounting within a defined area of the GEMCO business. You will be responsible for the provision of a finance service to your area covering development and maintenance of the cost and business reporting functions, cost modelling, and general financial support.
Duties will include:
* Lead asset personnel in understanding the importance of best practice cost management and governance
* Offer a high standard of service and compliance
* Support operational areas in managing their cost structure, and understanding key drivers of financial performance
* Provide subject matter expertise in both technical accounting and systems issues
* Implement simplified processes, and drive automation
Essential Requirements:
* Commitment to Zero Harm culture
* Capacity to influence budget holders
* Relevant tertiary qualifications
* CA/CPA qualified
* 4 years experience in accounting, preferably from within mining or heavy industry
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
* Proven high level of computer literacy including MS Office and SAP
