VERY HOT NEED: Large company has an immediate need for an Senior Operations Manager (Paper Manufacturing) in Baton Rouge, LA for a Paper manufacturing facility. Relocation is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

-> Responsible for direct area of accountability that will contribute to optimizing the short and long-term growth objectives of the mill
-> Responsible for developing and implementing 2-3 year operating plans to support the site 5 year operating plan
-> Responsible for leading and supporting the implementation of an EMS that meets ISO 14001 requirements
-> Must ensure that processes and systems are in place to manufacture competitive quality paper grades by managing the operations
-> Responsible for continually improving on end-use paper performance to ensure that the quality of product is meeting customer needs
-> Must ensure operating equipment is maintained in good operating condition, consistent at the lowest possible cost
-> Must ensure management continuity and apply succession planning, effective coaching, mentoring and training to meet future workforce requirements

Requirements:

-> No degree required but must have relevant experience
-> Must have paper manufacturing experience
-> Requires a minimum of 15 to 20 years of relevant experience
-> Requires brown paper experience (liner board, bag)
-> Experience must include strong leadership skills given the level of responsibility of the position
-> Experience operating plant in a safe and injury free environment that is in compliance with OSHA and other regulations
-> Experience with developing and implementing short (12 month) and long term (2-3 year) operating plans and capital spending recommendations to ensure department processes, employee capabilities and equipment is capable of supporting site objectives
-> Experience with operational control of processes and systems throughout operating departments
-> Experience with optimizing the uptime and productivity of operating departments while maintaining required quality at the lowest cost
