Secure hive of Government funded Projects Sydney based Civil Contractor Fast track to OH&S/QA Manager
Joining one of Australias leading civil construction companies (roads, bridges, water and rail), you will play a key role in the successful delivery of major infrastructure project in Sydney. Responsible for inspecting and reporting on equipment and work methods, conducting toolbox talks, providing advice relating to OH&S/QA legislation and requirements. To be successful you must have a proven experience of large scale civil construction with an Australian recognised contractor,a detailed knowledge of OHS and QA legislation, good levels of computer literacy, and excellent communication & interpersonal skill. Inspect and provide documented inspection reports for designated work areas daily. Monitor compliance of prompt implementation of identified corrective actions. Attend site management meetings and offer guidance and support relating to OH&S matters. Assist line management in the development and review of job safety analysis as necessary. Support line management in the preparation and delivery of toolbox talks as necessary. Conduct internal OHS&R audits on project sites. Provide advice to site management regarding the rehabilitation of injured persons. Carry out incident investigations and prepare reports. Follow up on corrective actions related to regulatory authority notices, audits and inspections. Assist site management in the investigation reporting and development of corrective actions. Ensure that safety performance data (injuries, accidents, near misses) are completed and accurately reported. Conduct safety and QA training as required.Assist site management to identify safety training needs.
