OneSteel Piping Systems distributes the country’s most extensive range of pipes, valves and fittings to the resources, construction, manufacturing and energy markets. We partner with key customers in oil & gas, mining and engineering construction to offer customised solutions with our superior range of piping systems products.

Reporting to the State Manager and as a result of an internal secondment, OneSteel Piping Systems are looking for a results driven Sales Manager to lead a team of Account Managers in the Energy & Infrastructure market. The purpose of this role is to contribute to the success of the business by leading your team to successful execution of product, customer and segment plans in order to secure regular and significant levels of profitable sales revenue.

Your role will be primarily operational and specifically will involve:

Developing revenue and profit targets for selected customers, markets and territories Monitoring customer service standards including carrying out regular review meetings with selected customers to monitor achievements of mutual objectives Determining and setting weekly, monthly and annual KPI’s, targets and goals, which facilitate the achievement of overall sales and profit targets Developing strategies and presentations to maximise the opportunities to OneSteel in major projects Liaising with inventory and warehouse teams to determine stock availability, delivery capabilities and capacity Developing and maintaining extensive market knowledge including competitors, suppliers, industry trends and products. The outlook for the role is both operational and external, operating as a member of the state lead team contributing to the state’s sales plans and objectives. You will also interact strongly with the National Marketing Manager on the local deployment of sales and marketing processes and procedures.

Key criteria for success includes:
Technical sales experience relating to pipe products Ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships Experience in providing leadership and building internal capability Proven planning, organising, analytical and numeracy skills Superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Ability to set and enact strategy in the sales and marketing space Broad experience encompassing safety and be active in building safety capability within your employees. Qualifications in engineering, marketing or business, as well as SAP experience would be highly desirable.
