HAYS works exclusively with a number of established exploration & mining groups regarding their ongoing recruitment needs and a key client now requires a Mine Surveyor for a newly created position.

This company is a major, international mining group with existing operations within Western Australia. The position will report to the Senior Mining Engineer and is a newly created role at one of their start-up, surface mines.

As the on-site Mine Surveyor, you will be responsible for all survey functions across the open-pit mine, near-mine exploration and associated project works. The primary duties will include:

End of month reporting i.e. stockpile volumes etc Pick-up / setout of drill patterns and grades. Assist with mine designs - mine extensions, waste dump Complete survey work with associated projects - camp, roads etc To be considered for this opportunity, it is essential that you offer the following:

Relevant qualifications in Surveying (Mining) Recent experience in an open-pit mine Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The position is offered on a FIFO roster (8:6) and will attract a salary in the vicinity of $85K - $100K + Super.
