Mechanical Maintenance Technician

BHP Billiton Worsley Alumina is the joint venture operation of BHP Billiton, Japan Alumina Associates and Sojitz Alumina. As a member of the world’s largest diversified resources company, Worsley manages a bauxite mine and alumina refinery in Western Australia’s South West and offers candidates an enviable choice of lifestyle, based in the state’s picturesque South West.

We currently have an opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the maintenance, refurbishment, and replacement of a variety of mechanical equipment, and responding to ad-hoc priority work requests at our Boddington Bauxite Mine.

The successful candidates should have:

* Experience working on mobile equipment;
* Previous experience in a Mechanical Maintenance role in the Mining Industry;
* High degree of motivation and a strong work ethic;
* A strong safety focus.

Experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems will be highly regarded. It is desirable, but not essential, that the successful applicant is experienced in working on fixed plant equipment.
