You will be responsible to manage the Mozal harbour terminal operations to achieve our Zero Harm objective; motivate, empower and develop team members through performance management, coaching, mentoring and training. Plan, co-ordinate and control the in and out bound logistics for all major raw materials and final products to ensure a safe and efficient supply chain for the Mozal smelter.

Duties include: Build and maintain excellent customer relationships; Originate, implement and control the section’s operating and capital budgets. Optimise harbour operations by identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects and management of contractors. Responsibilities also include liaison with port authorities to ensure safe and efficient provision of services.

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent tertiary qualification, preferably in an engineering discipline. A post graduate business management qualification would be advantageous, be computer literate, with a minimum of 6 years experience in a heavy industrial, logistics or shipping roles of which 3 years have been spent in a supervisory or management role. Knowledge and experience in shipping, port operations and logistics is a prerequisite for success in this role.
