Environment Department Administrator

Under the general guidance of the Superintendent, the Environment Department Administrator provides data entry, coordinates travel, develops and coordinates environment communications and provides contract and financial tracking responsibilities for the EKATI Environment Department. In addition there may be a requirement to provide some field support during busy times. Emphasis is on providing effective and efficient support for the department and showing an ability to work with initiative. The incumbent performs all duties for this position in accordance with the Charter, Company policies, Management Systems, Standard Operating Procedures and Agreements.

The successful candidate will be a high school graduate with a minimum of 1 year related experience and proficiency with computers, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. You have the ability to work effectively as a team member with minimal supervision, and have good organizational skills. Experience using GSAP and having some basic field skills are an asset.

The EKATI Diamond Mine is located 300 kilometres northeast of Yellowknife and is accessible only by plane. The rotation for this position is 4 days on site followed by 3 days off. The incumbent is expected to reside in Yellowknife. Excellent salary and comprehensive benefits program are available to the right candidate.
