The Project Development Group (PDG) is tasked with becoming a Centre of Excellence for the undertaking of studies and delivery of significant and sustaining capital projects within BMA. The Project Development Group provides project delivery services to BMA through the management of all phases of the investment life cycle.
We are currently seeking an experienced Area Manager to manage the day to day operations of our Sustaining Capital Projects within BMA’s Southern Region. The Southern region will cover sites located at Blackwater, Gregory Crinum, Norwich Park and Saraji. Reporting to the Manager of Sustaining Capital, the successful candidate will be responsible for the recruitment, supervision and development of project personnel to meet portfolio KPI’s including safety, cost, schedule and quality performance.
The Area Manager will be responsible for building constructive relationships with key stakeholders in our Southern region, ensuring the project office has a focus on delivering projects with a high level of customer satisfaction. You will further ensure that the regional workgroups develop and maintain a culture that aligns with the BMA Charter Values, BHPB Code of Conduct, and the BHPB Leadership Model. As part of the overall sustaining projects leadership team, the successful applicant will communicate the long term vision and direction for the workgroup, ensuring alignment with BMA’s strategic goals.
The successful applicant will have worked on multiple mining capital projects, having been involved in the entire process from feasibility through to execution. You will have demonstrated working knowledge of owners’ team project management, having previously overseen EPCM contractors and third party service providers. Proven experience in developing successful working relationships with site based personnel is required, demonstrating effective management and communication skills.
