The Project Development Group (PDG) is tasked with becoming a Centre of Excellence for the undertaking of studies and delivery of significant and sustaining capital projects within BMA. The Project Development Group provides project delivery services to BMA through the management of all phases of the investment life cycle.
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Specialist, focusing on the Execution phases of our Sustaining Capital Projects. The Project Specialist - Execution will be responsible for ensuring a safe and coordinated approach to construction activities across the regions. This includes allocating construction personnel to projects well in advance; ensuring BMA coverage is adequate and meets the expectations of the Site Senior Executives (SSE) or Project Sponsors.
Reporting to the Manager of Sustaining Capital, this position involves building win-win relationships with BMA Contractors and Suppliers, delivering similar construction work across projects to ensure the efficient use of resources at all times. The Project Specialist - Execution will be further available to coach and mentor project personnel across all regions / offices when planning or executing construction activities.
With extensive construction management experience, the successful applicant will have worked on multiple mining capital projects, having been involved in the entire process from feasibility through to execution. Degree or trade qualified, you will have demonstrated working knowledge of owners’ team project management, having previously overseen EPCM contractors and third party service providers. Proven experience in developing successful working relationships with site based personnel is required, demonstrating effective management and communication skills.
