Our most recent growth project, Rapid Growth Project 5, will take installed capacity at our Western Australian Iron Ore operations to 205mpta by the second half of calendar year 2011.

Position Synopsis

Reporting to the Manager Asset Reliability, you will develop, implement and maintain effective asset health monitoring systems, processes and procedures to ensure critical machines integrity across all the sites from contract mines to port.

Key responsibilities include:

* Develop and implement best practice asset health monitoring and reporting procedures, processes and systems;
* Develop, implement and maintain a system for monitoring and managing critical machine integrity;
* Chair and drive results through the major equipment integrity steering committee; and
* Develop, implement and maintain a system to effectively manage action identified in the investigations.

Skills and Experience

You must have extensive experience in asset management and /or Reliability Engineering, ideally complemented by tertiary qualifications in engineering. A skilled facilitator, you will be familiar with 6 Sigma and Lean principles and proficient leading major failure investigations using reliability tools including FMECA, RCA and Condition Monitoring.

Equally as important are your first class project management skills evidenced by your ability to translate change into simple terms and successfully engage and influence key stakeholders including senior leaders.
