You will be responsible for the project planning and management by directing and controlling all procedures related to the planning and management projects; manage and provide guidance to subordinates of the section ensuring that all project documentation and systems are kept up to date, and reviewing project documentation (project plans, scopes of work, drawings, specifications etc). On the Projects evaluate, prioritise and act on requests for projects; assist in developing scopes of work for projects; manage progress, execution, resources and co-ordinate a portfolio of projects.
You will also evaluate, prioritise and act on requests for technical assistance; conduct detailed concept, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for future projects; interface with relevant departments and senior management as required.
Set objectives and measures for subordinates and conduct regular review sessions; identify potential risks during project execution and ensure adequate measures of risk mitigation and ensure a safe working environment
The purpose of this role is to Plan, lead and direct the Project Section and its activities by managing and allocating resources to the various projects, communicating with project originators and developing effective strategies for implementation in order to ensure the Section and all Departments adhere to the procedures indicated in Mozal Improvement Process (MIP), general engineering principals and practices and Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements.
Ideally you will have a B. Engineering degree/ Post graduate qualification will be advantageous, with substantial experience (5 years) in a related environment. Having the PMP accreditation would be advantageous.
