THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a multinational group of companies providing specialist services to the oil and gas industries to recruit a Marine Systems Engineer to be based in Houston. The Group is an equal opportunity employer and offers excellent benefits. Position may require overseas travel and / or offshore assignment. Salary commensurate with education and experience. This vacancy is being handled by CCLs Houston office.
THE PERSON
Reporting directly to a Project Lead Engineer, responsible for selection of methods and procedures, performance of work, and optimization of the design within scope of project specifications. Close cooperation with the Design and Drafting activity essential. Responsible for performing work consistent with Company Procedures, QA Procedures, Corporate Engineering Standards, Department Work Instructions and all tasks and duties as assigned by Offshore Group Management.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience and 2 years of experience with a Masters degree. Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills. Extensive experience of AutoCAD, Flow master, MathCAD, MS Office, MS Project, Pipe net. Familiarity with discipline engineering principles and procedures, and ability to apply these to project. Also requires familiarity with National and International Codes and Standards and Classification Society Rules, as well as working knowledge of normal commercial and marine fabrication materials, procedures, and capabilities. Fluent written and spoken English. Must be eligible to reside and work in the USA.
