Principal Infrastructure Engineer Australia
Reporting to the Programme Engineering Manager, the Principal Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:
- The provision of technical oversight, methods, procedures, systems, standards, guidelines and quality control to deliver the Project Execution plans.
- Consistent delivery of safety, quality and standardisation of non-process engineering performed across the Programme.
- Verifying and addressing compliance with the Programme quality requirements and engineering reviews.
- Developing and implementing efficient and effective work processes.
- Ensuring the delivery of safety in designs and the technical quality of engineering design deliverables.
- Assessing existing work processes and the implantation of improvements as the Programme progresses.
- Promoting and supporting engineering of standard facilities for Non-process infrastructure.
- Preparation and maintenance of the discipline design criteria.
- Conducting peer reviews of the design deliverables.
- Leading the detailed Programme planning and actively participating in the development of Project Area engineering schedules.
- Monitoring the internal, supplier and client reviews to ensure a timely turnaround.
To be considered for this key role, you will need to have:
- Relevant Engineering tertiary qualifications
- Extensive experience with the management of large engineering teams and third party consultants working on large scale projects.
- Previous Experience working on large scale multi-disciplined EPCM projects, and large scale iron ore or mineral processing projects.
- Experience with preparation of discipline engineering budgets and plans.
- Excellent team leadership, motivational and communication skills.
- The ability to think analytically, impart skills and train others, delegate tasks, implement cost control measures, and understand HSE regulations and standards.
