International Engineering Company requires an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer for the design of processing plants. Based in the UK, duties will involve leading a team of more junior engineers in the engineering delivery of projects to time, cost and quality parameters and in overall the management of small projects. Also to provide technical support to procurement discipline and to negotiate and administer procurement orders including expediting, progress management, works testing and final acceptance of suppliers equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering Degree, at least 8 years design experience and have achieved Chartered status. Experience of specification and procurement of complex multi discipline equipment packages and co-ordination requirements for complex plant designs will be required. Good knowledge of fluid handling (pumps, valves, tanks), mechanical handling and E,C&I and Civil Engineering requirements is essential.
Previous experience in the nuclear and petrochemical industries would be an advantage.
