THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by an international oil and gas super-major company to provide a Planning Engineer. This is an 8&3 rotation to a camp onshore in the fabrication yard in Kazakhstan. Travel as required. Rates are negotiable.
THE PERSON
Reports to Project Controls Lead. 3 - 5 years prior oil and gas industry experience preferred. Specialist in project schedule preparation. Reviews Contractor Schedules for usefulness, logic, level of detail, input sources, timing, lines of communication, and interfaces with other project elements and consistency with Current Control Estimate, WBS, and the Project Plan. Also establishes schedule requirements and frequencies of issue for all of the contractor schedule deliverables. Strives for timely detection of trends and specifically deviations from the plan.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
BS Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology. Strong Influencing, Consulting, Mentoring, Analytical, and Computing skills. Adaptability to changing priorities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests. Provide overall project schedule, progress measurement and change management leadership and expertise. Supporting Project Team with ongoing project schedule analysis, reporting, and Change Management. Develop / document Schedules annual and multi-year. Participate in developing Contract Control Schedules and Milestones. Maintain regular contact with project teams. Provide direction and feedback to project planning and control engineers on schedule aspects of the project. Fluent written and spoken English.
