THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a global service company to provide an experienced, highly motivated and high calibre General Manager to be based in Kuala Lumpur. Single, married or family status terms and conditions including rate, leave, accommodation, working hours, travel etc. will be internationally competitive.
THE PERSON
It is essential that candidate has gained minimum 5 years experience in a similar role working in Asia. Minimum 15 years oilfield experience (preferably with blue chip service company / operator). Completion services / upstream experience essential. Directly responsible for business development of region / delivery of objectives. Serve as key member of senior management team that sets company strategic direction. Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the company overall strategy / direct regional company operations to meet budget and other financial goals. Ensure all new technology ideas presented maximise return on investment. Be driving force in development of work ethic, culture and values of the business development group. Through personal example, establish style and approach which will characterise dealings with marketplace. In partnership with marketing, preparation / coordination of (annual) sales and marketing plans. Market and sell products and / or services. Develop relationships with new and existing customers and provide information to maximise sales volume. Maintain contact with all clients in market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin. Develop and deliver proposal presentations and RFP responses.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Ideal candidate will be degree qualified with relevant professional qualifications and excellent interpersonal / communication skills. Demonstrate successful execution of business strategies for company products and services in the regions. Build and manage a regional Business Development team. Ensure that customer technical requirements are met and that all customer ideas and requests are captured. Coordinate design requirements through engineering where required in order to ensure the correct feasibility of all quotations and attainment of customer requirements. Fluent English is absolutely essential.
