Apply Deadline: 29 Dec 2009 Location: Portland, ME, USA Great opportunity for an Energy Efficiency PROJECT ENGINEER at a well respected firm in New England. Estimated regional travel up to 25%.
Responsibilities:
-> Work with commercial, industrial, and municipal customers to perform energy audits and inspections
-> Identify and evaluate energy savings initiatives including performing energy audits, determining operational and maintenance savings, as well as, estimating cost to implement energy conservation initiatives improvement plan
-> Focus on facility heating, cooling, ventilation, and lighting systems as well as water, waste water, steam systems, compressed air systems, boiler and chiller plants, and industrial processes
Requirements:
-> BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent four year technical engineering degree
-> Minimum 7+ years energy efficiency or renewable technology experience analyzing and quantifying energy savings and implementing complex projects involving chiller and boiler plants, motors, VSDs, HVAC retrofit, CCHP, and distributed generation
-> Familiarity with energy related building simulation and other related software
-> A PLUS to have certification or working towards certification in any of: Certified Energy Manager, Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional, LEED Accreditation, Certified Energy Auditor, or PE Professional Engineer license
-> Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as, organizational skills

• Please describe your experience as an Energy Engineer addressing your solid experience evaluating, identifying, and assessing energy savings initiatives including performing energy audits, calculating operational and maintenance savings as well as estimating cost to implement energy savings improvement plan in area such as: facility heating, cooling, ventilation, and lighting systems in areas such as steam systems, compressed air systems, boiler and chiller plants, and industrial processes. Note the types of projects, type of facilities, and scopes.
• Please summarize any familiarity or working knowledge you have of Building Simulation Software such as TRANE Trace, Carrier HAP, TRANE System Analyzer, E-Quest (DOE 2.1), etc.
• AS A BIG PLUS: Please indicate if you have Certification as a: Certified Energy Manager, Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional, LEED Accreditation, Certified Energy Auditor, or PE Professional Engineer license
• Please list your education and relevant training and other certifications.
