Electrical Engineer - Embedded Systems/C Programming /FPGA 68-105 K/yr

Excellent growth opportunity for an Embedded Systems Engineer supporting development of advanced power electronics and turbine control platforms. The ideal candidate would be Senior level Software Engineer whose focus is in embedded software and C++ development, extensive background as a controls engineer. A major PLUS is someone with experience in the wind power industry. Multiple positions.

Responsibilities:

-> Develop and support embedded software to control power converter and rotating equipment using C language as a minimum with advanced candidates using VHDL or Visual Basic
-> Develop multiple platforms using FPGA as a minimum with advanced candidates using SHARC digital signal processor or Coldfire processor
-> Team in designing and testing custom control boards including: Circuit design, Schematic and Lay-out review, Troubleshooting, analyzing Test results
-> Specify and select equipment, systems, components and materials and write technical documentation
-> Support commissioning and testing
-> For advanced candidates, leading team of engineers and technicians managing technical projects quality, scope, and budget

Requirements:

-> BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or computer-related area, or equivalent experience
-> Experience with C and FPGA programming and software engineering best practices for quality assurance, including certification
-> Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-> A PLUS to have related MS or Phd
-> A PLUS to have working knowledge of ANY of: VHDL, Visual Basic, SHARC digital signal processor, Coldfire processor
-> FPGA/ASIC design
-> Software development in ADA/C++ (major plus)
-> Multilayer board level design experience (preferred)

• Describe your experience with Softwarde development in ADA or C++.

• Please explaing your experience has a Lead Systems Designer, or any other experience relevant.

• Which do you consider to be your strongest skillset, hardware, software, or FPGA design?

• AS A PLUS, please detail any background in Multilayer board level design AND VHDL, Visual Basic, SHARC digital signal processor, Coldfire processor.
