Mechanical Engineer - Motor Operated Valve/Industrial Facility 80-90 K/yr

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada
Client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Valve Engineer to manage its valve maintenance program at this Industrial Facility. Client needs specific experience with Motor Operated Valves. This position is based in Ontario, on the scenic shore of Lake Huron. Great benefits including relocation assistance. Overtime pay is available.

Responsibilities:

-> Provide technical evaluations, recommendations, and proposals in support of valve maintenance programs for this industrial facility
-> Assess, evaluate and recommend alternatives to resolve process, and valve equipment problems
-> Specify outage valve maintenance scope, recommend preventive maintenance activities and overall valve maintenance programs
-> Monitor program for effectiveness (increased reliability) and required changes
-> Work closely with Valve Maintenance Staff, System and Design engineers on a regular basis
-> Prepare or revise procedures to optimize operation, or recognize changes to valve components, consistent with the operating license, design intent, division policies, and safe operating practices

Requirements:

-> BSME and 5+ years of specific experience in Motor Operated Valve maintenance in the Nuclear, Chemical, of Fossil generation industries
-> Experience in the engineering support related to Valve Maintenance (Reliability, Preventative Maintenance, etc..)
-> Overall knowledge of valve maintenance (motor operated, air operated, check valves, relief valves, manual valves, and valve packing)
-> Should have necessary prerequisites to apply for PE status
