Nickel West is the world’s third largest producer of nickel-in-concentrate.
The Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter has the capacity to produce up to 110,000 tonnes of nickel matte per annum. Located just 12 kilometres from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, the Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter incorporates a flash furnace smelter, converters and an acid plant.

This is a great opportunity to break into the mining industry or for an experienced Process Technician to expand on their skills and knowledge. You’ll work closely with other members of the Furnace team striving to safely achieve daily production targets.

Think Purpose
Reporting to the Furnace Production Supervisor, the Process Technician operates sections of the processing plant while continuously improving work practices and working safely to achieve production targets.
Think Requirements
We are seeking candidates preferably with previous experience in a fixed plant environment who have a strong understanding of production processes. Previous molten materials handling experience will be highly regarded.
The possession of a best practice safety culture and the ability to work in a close knit team environment are essential for success in this role.
You will be a team player, have great communication, computer literacy and problem solving skills.
