Principle Advisor - Change Management
BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) is Australia’s largest coal producer, with nine mine sites and a coal loading port in Central Queensland. The Information Management (IM) department is responsible for the delivery of information management services to the organisation through outsourcing provider arrangements.
We are currently seeking an experienced Change Leader, responsible for managing the smooth integration of IM changes with all aspects of BMA’s operations and projects and ensuring that the end to end change management processes are in place, effective and followed. The role acts as a champion for Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based change and release management.
Based in our Brisbane Office the role seeks to minimise the negative operational impact of changes on business via a partnering approach, well documented, repeatable processes and constant communication. Specific responsibilities include:
* Implement, maintain and operate an ITIL-based Information Management Change Management (IMCM) process and supporting activities, policies, standards and reporting to improve the overall quality of success of changes implemented.
* Lead the evolution of IMCM via a continuous improvement process from within the IM Department and in conjunction with the enterprise to define and prioritise strategies for improving change management processes and procedures.
• Plan, develop and execute communication plans to stakeholder audiences impacted by the change efforts and provide communications in a timely, efficient manner to ensure that stakeholders are prepared and committed to the change.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a similar capacity with demonstrated working knowledge in change, release and configuration management. The candidate will also have experience in organisational change management practises and methods. You will require a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems / Technology and exposure to standard service management frameworks.
