BHP Billiton Worsley Alumina is the joint venture operation of BHP Billiton, Japan Alumina Associates and Sojitz Alumina. As a member of the world’s largest diversified resources company, Worsley manages a bauxite mine and alumina refinery in Western Australia’s South West and offers candidates an enviable choice of lifestyle, based in the state’s picturesque South West.
As a key member of the process control group you will be responsible for scoping, designing, implementing and supporting process control strategies. In addition you will analyse process dynamics and control performance along with driving the investigation and deployment of applicable advanced control techniques and continuous improvement initiatives. The systems with which you will work include Honeywell Experion, Uniformance and applications and server systems based around the Microsoft Windows environment.
We are seeking a person who is committed to achieving excellence in process control and systems. To be successful in this role you will have an Engineering background with considerable experience working with process control systems in large scale industrial environments. Your previous experience in designing, developing and supporting process control applications is highly desirable as is prior experience working within the Honeywell environment.
