Position Synopsis
As the Senior Maintenance Planner in the Railway Workshops, you will report directly to the Superintendent Planning and Engineering and take responsibility for developing maintenance plans to successfully meet business requirements. As a leader, you will be required to develop, coach and mentor the maintenance planners to build a high performance team. You will work towards the department becoming the benchmark maintenance management team across Iron Ore using SAP as an enabler to achieving operating excellence.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the CMMS to ensure performance targets are achieved.
With an eye on the promotion of safe working conditions and practices, your key duties will include:
* Developing the skills and knowledge of the maintenance planning and execution team in Work Management systems.
* Collaborating with Planners/Supervisors in reviewing the plans generated to ensure plans are logical and realistic;
* Developing and optimising Whole of Life equipment strategies and maintenance plans in SAP.
* Ensuring task lists are developed and maintained with up to date job instructions and safety requirements;
* Ensuring detailed work plans are developed that include personnel, plant, equipment and parts availability for the timely and successful execution of work orders;
* Managing off-site repairs of equipment; and
* Monitoring labour group materials expenditure against budget forecast.
Skills and Experience
You will have a minimum of 5 years post-trade experience in a related industry. Regardless of qualification, extensive experience with maintenance management systems will be favourably viewed. It is preferred that your demonstrated technical and professional skills be complemented by a demonstrated competence with SAP.
Credible and committed, you display effective communications skills, crucial to motivating team members, and presenting plans and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Location
This role is based in Port Hedland and is offered on a Fly In Fly out basis from Perth on a family friendly roster. A competitive remuneration package is offered commensurate with experience, and includes performance incentive and a generous superannuation scheme, as well as other benefits.
