Location: Australia BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) is a highly successful coal mining company and exporter - the biggest in Australia and the largest supplier of seaborne coking coal in the world. We have experienced strong growth and development across our coal mining operations and therefore, we are offering a number of cadetships to people interested in mining technology, computing, science, and different fields of engineering. These Cadetships offer the opportunity to further your career through on-the-job experience and a structured study program work. The Cadetship programs commence in February 2010 in our surface and underground mining operations. Motivated people with a keen interest in a career in mining are encouraged to apply.
BMA Cadetships provide a combination of work experience and training, supported with University study to candidates motivated to develop their skills and abilities in related technical areas. Our cadetship programs are aimed at those who have completed, or who are about to complete year 12 schooling; and others with work experience, particularly in mining related areas and/or trades and who want to develop their skills to become qualified in a specific area of coal mining.
Mechanical Engineer Cadets provide support to the mechanical maintenance management on mine sites through a range of responsibilities.
