Location: Australia We are one of the largest manganese mines in the world, with customers in China, Japan, South Korea, the USA, India and Mexico. Working together with the HR Team members and operational you will be responsible for delivering all job specific training and assessment activities for new employees and contractors. This encompasses all initial job specific competencies prior to commencing within the department and refresher training.
With a clear emphasis on improving planned training activities at a site, department and individual level, you will focus primarily within a key department area and provide support to other areas as planned.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Delivering of job specific core competency for initial induction and completion of training profile.
* Assisting with design and development of site wide and departmental training and assessment materials, regular reviews and updates to improve safety and performance standards.
* Conducting gap analysis against job profiles and competency profiles for each new starter and coordinating the development of individual training plans (in conjunction with HR team members)
* Assist with sourcing qualified trainers to deliver specialist modules for department training needs
* Reviewing crew level training needs and developing quarterly planned training schedule
* Monthly reporting on planned versus actual training conducted
* Assisting with basic coverage for other training roles during leave periods
* Monthly training committee participation, completion of action items and implementation of departmental based activities
Relevant skills & abilities:
* TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
* Strong working knowledge and experience operating mobile equipment, loadshifting equipment or processing plant areas
* Basic computer skills - Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Email etc)
* Good time management, organisational and communication skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy in all documentation pertaining to training and assessment
* Experience training indigenous employees advantageous
* Current HR Drivers Licence
