Think Place
A member of the BHP Billiton Group, Nickel West is a fully integrated nickel business comprising mines, concentrators, a smelter and refinery, all located in Western Australia.
Nickel West is the world’s third largest producer of nickel-in-concentrate.
Leinster Nickel Operation is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
Nickel operations at Leinster include the Perseverance Underground Mine, Cliffs Nickel Mine, Rocky’s Reward Open Pit Mine, other satellite deposits, and a nickel concentrator and dryer.
The Cliffs Nickel Mine is an integral part of the Leinster Nickel Operation, located 12 kilometres south of the Mt Keith Operation. Cliffs is a narrow vein nickel/cobalt deposit and is an underground mining operation.
Mt Keith Operation is located 700 kilometres north-east of Perth in the Northern Goldfields. Mt Keith Operation is a surface mining operation with an open pit and concentrator plant. The operation is surrounded by pastoral stations, with the nearest townships being Leinster and Wiluna.
There’s plenty to keep you entertained in the Mt Keith Village. Take the heat off the day and head to the pool - or join in a game of footy. BBQ dinners are regularly held and other social activities include live bands and movie nights. Employees commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster or form regional areas on a drive in / drive out roster.

Think Requirements
As a minimum you will have completed Year 10 with sound passes in English and Maths.
* Completion of a relevant pre-appprenticeship, work experience or vocational training will be highly regarded as will an aptitude and interest in mechanical or electrical subjects.
* Extra curricular activities which demonstrate team work will be looked upon favourably.
* Indigenous applicants strongly encouraged to apply.
* In accordance with Section 51(b) of the EEO Act 1984 some of these roles are only open to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicants.
* BHP Billiton Nickel West support women in the workforce.
* In compliance with the Western Australian Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995, Part 10 - 10.4(1) some of these roles require applicants to be a minimum of 18 years of age.
