ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Provide completion design and engineering support to the Macedon Development to facilitate submission of funding request and order of critical path equipment by mid year 2009.
• Provide basis for all production engineering-related facility design parameters.
• Developing strong working relationships with technical members of partner teams.
• Work with Production Engineering Functional leaders to ensure consistency in technical matters with company goals.
• Communicate with JV partners and regulatory bodies on engineering technical issues, as requested.
• Foster teamwork and maintain a positive work environment to achieve job satisfaction and, consequently, contribute effectively.
BEHAVIOURAL & LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES
• The candidate should have at least ten years or more of relevant experience.
• Good technical communicator (written and spoken) and influencing skills
• Excellent collaboration skills
• Nodal Analysis using Prosper software
• Open hole gravel pack completion design, specification and required laboratory testing
• Erosion modeling proficiency
• Metallurgy selection for sweet and sour service
• Sub sea well experience
• Compaction modeling and completion design impacts
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assimilate existing body of work developed for Macedon sand face completion design.
• Finalize sand control design (OHGP) and complete detailed design work for same including the following:
1. Sand Sizing and Screen Specification
2. Drilling and completion fluid studies for specification
3. Compaction Strain Resistance of Base Pipe
4. SCSSV specification considering 50 km remote operation
5. Completion metallurgy selection
• Work with drilling team remotely in Perth, Australia to complete Completion and Well Basis of Design documents.
• Develop well testing goals and plan working with Reservoir and Drilling groups.
• Conduct erosion modeling study for sub sea well operability and couple with sand monitoring hardware specification.
• Build well nodal models and conduct analysis necessary to support project evaluation.
• Complete all necessary work to facilitate Long Lead Completion Equipment order by June, 2009.
• Become familiar with and support BHP Billiton Charter and HSE and quality activities/initiatives.
• Ensure that necessary documentation for appropriate regulatory submittals is done accurately and meets requisite deadlines.
• Ensure effective handovers occur when Developments transition to Australia PU.
• Some international travel will be required.
• Work located in Houston, Texas.
AUTHORITY & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The incumbent will be the senior production engineer in the team and will work closely with all subsurface team members. External stakeholders should be engaged in a positive manner.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in relevant Engineering or Science discipline required
• A minimum of ten years relevant experience in the upstream petroleum industry.
• A strong background in field development is required in addition to partner relationship building skills.
