Responsibilities:
• Ability to develop project scope documentation and functional specifications, design control system architecture.
• Determine system hardware requirements, networks and communication protocol for control system
• Perform assigned activities as related to Automation of Process, Safety and F&G Systems for offshore installations.
• Develop Narrative for Process Control system and Safety Instrumented systems.
• Develop Cause and Effect Matrix for ESD and F&G system.
• Provide technical guidance on the application of codes and standards with respect to instrumentation, Fire and gas, and Control System engineering
• Responsible for coordinating all required technical information and vendor documentation.
• Perform all analyses required to create optimal maintenance programs for Safety and Automation systems.
Job Requirements:
* Minimum BS degree in Engineering (Electrical/Instrumentation/Automation), Master of Science preferred
* Must have good interpersonal skills and able to interface with colleagues, supervisors, drafting designers and other engineers on multi-discipline projects
* API standards including 14C, NEC/IEC,
* SPI (INtools) experience
* Experience preparing instrument specifications/datasheets, requisitions, bid tab evaluations, vendor data review and field/construction site support.
* Must have good computer skills and be proficient on Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Must have good communication, writing and presentation skills, and excellent work ethics and work attitude; organizational skills a must
* Experience with maintenance analyses and development of maintenance programs.
* Experience and know-how related to Safety and Automation equipment from offshore or onshore operations.
* Experience commissioning and start-up of offshore production facilities
* Has a solid understanding of a variety of utility automation concepts, practices, and procedures
* Excellent understanding with the design of electrical utility automation systems for generation, transmission and distribution systems
* Knowledge of SCADA and communication systems
