Lead Drilling Engineer (HPHT)

Location: Egypt
Lead Drilling Engineer (HPHT) required for operator in Egypt to start ASAP for a long term contract until August 2011, possibly longer on a residential basis in Cairo. Day rate negotiable.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the tender process for the provision of 3rd party services for well engineering as well as the procurement of well hardware
- Develop robust HPHT well designs and drilling programmes
- Manage the progress of the well design
- Develop a basis of design document to support the well design and drilling programme
- Liason with the Regional Well Engineer and External Well Examiner
- Ensure that all drilling lessons learnt and non-conformance reports are investigated and closed out
- Supervising 3rd party contractors involved in the drilling operation
- Maintain and end of well report document and update throughout the well life cycle

Key Requirements:
- Significant HPHT experience
- Extensive drilling engineering experience particularly in well design
- Expert knowledge in the use of drilling engineering software such as WellCat, WellPlan, Compass
- Expert in probabilistic modelling software eg, P1
