Mining Fuel & Mining Supervisor The incumbent is responsible for management of Southern Illinois Power cooperative's fuel supply agreements. Responsibilities will include oversight and monitoring or current coal, carbon and natural gas contracts and to assure timely fulfillment of contracts. Oversight and monitoring of mines and contractors who supply solid fuel for the SIPC plan. Bachelor's degree in engineering, mining engineering, related physical science or equivalent experience. Technical and business knowledge of mining and power industry; experience in economics of fuel utilization and cleaning; knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements in mining and fossil fuel fired plant operations. Five plus years mining or power plant engineering support experience. Two plus years experience in development of projects including scope, cost and benefit analysis. Equivalent Experience: Associate's degree in engineering or related physical science with at least five years of coal mining experience. Local region travel 75% of the time. Occasional travel outside of region. Southern Illinois Power Cooperative
