The Company requires a Project Geologist to manage and carry out exploration programs on various assigned properties throughout the Abitibi Greenstone belt. This may include geological compilation and mapping, along with managing other types of geological ground surveys that include geochemical and geophysical programs. Work will also include manage budgets and track exploration expenditures, recommend exploration programs as required, plan and supervise diamond drill programs as directed and ensure data is collected to high standards and QA/QC protocol is followed. Communication and liaison with drill and other contractors and complete all work in a safe and efficient manner. A University degree in geology with 5-8 years experience in exploration is required, as well as registration or be qualified to register as an APGO in Ontario.
Lake Shore Gold Corp. is an emerging gold company with a portfolio of quality assets located in the Timmins gold mining district of northern Ontario and Québec. The Company is on track to commence processing development ore from its 100% owned Timmins project before the end of the first quarter of 2009, with production at Timmins project expected to increase to approximately 500 tons per day by near the end of the year, and to 1,500 tons per day by the end of 2010. Ore from the Timmins project will be processed at the 100% owned Bell Creek mill, the refurbishing of which was completed to a capacity of 800 tons per day near the end of 2008. Lake Shore Gold also has a number of highly prospective exploration properties, with work on these properties resulting in a number of new discoveries over the last two years. The Company´s common shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol LSG.
