Our client is an International oil & gas service provider who has recently been awarded a major contract for designing, constructing and delivering a gravity base structure (GBS) located in Russia.
I am seeking a Post Tensioning QS Inspector with project construction experience to work on this exciting project. For pay rolling purposes you must be located in Australia for this opportunity or if located overseas, MUST BE WORKING UNDER YOUR OWN BUSINESS NAME WITH ALL THE RELEVANT INSURANCES – Candidates can not be considered who do not fall into this category. This is a rotational role and your departure point is irrelevant.
You will be performing and reporting on Quality Surveillance activities and will manage the subcontractors Quality Control activities relating to Post Tensioning works.
Your main duties will include:
• Verify subcontractors production testing relating to grouting
• Review and assist establishing quality systems
• Ensure relevant contract requirements are implemented in subcontractor procedures
• Ensure hold and witness points have been identified in contractor documentation
• Approve subcontractors prequalification of materials, methods and equipment
• Verification activities in coordination with grouting and sealing of cable ducts
• Review subcontractors materials delivery plan, storage and handling
You must have previous GBS experience on large scale projects within the EPCM environment or be a concrete specialist. Previous experience working with concrete in an arctic or sub-zero environment and speaking Russian would be an advantage. You will need to have access to your original degree as this is a requirement of obtaining your Russian work permit.
