ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATOR

WORK ON ONE OF WA'S LARGEST IRON ORE PROJECTS PERTH BASED WITH REGULAR SITE TRAVEL LONG TERM ONGOING CONTRACT
Our client is currently managing the EPCM functions of one of WA's largest Iron Ore joint venture mining projects.

They are currently looking for an experienced Environmental Coordinator to assist in ensuring that the project meets the statutory, regulatory and non-regulatory environmental approvals such as the Project Environmental and Aboriginal Heritage Review (PEAHR).

In this position, you will be responsible for:

Assisting with environmental support for the projectConducting assessments on the environmental aspects for contracts and tendersEnsuring that all environmental conditions meets outlined statutory legislation, licenses and approval conditionsReporting regularly to the Environmental Manager on environmental issues and progressAttending weekly meetings with the company and clients to report environmental mattersPreempting environmental issues and providing solutions that have least impact on the project scheduleConducting quarterly audits of mobilised contractors Schedule and manage sub-consultancies for technical requirements such as biological surveys, contamination reports, noise surveys etc.In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have:

Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering or relatedStrong EPCM project experienceCertificate in training and assessment would be highly regardedTraining/ experience in Hazardous Chemicals Management A knowledge of ISO 14001implementation and experience in auditing
