VicRoads Technical Consulting is the centre of technical engineering expertise within VicRoads. It provides expert consultancy and advice in the areas of pavements, road construction materials, geotechnical, civil and traffic engineering and road, bridge and landscape design.

Technical Consulting is seeking a Team Leader for its Project Design Services Group which is an in-house source of expert knowledge for road related design.

In this role you will be responsible for leading a team responsible for preparing and reviewing planning, preliminary and detailed designs for projects ranging in size from minor improvement works to major freeway developments.

This position provides a perfect opportunity for you to lead, manage and develop a committed team of road design practitioners in an exciting area of engineering. As the team leader of a significant road design area, you will have a strong working knowledge of design guidelines, have strong cross discipline awareness, be creative in problem solving, show initiative, be able to work independently and maintain a strong attention to detail. You will also be committed to the ongoing development of road design capability within the team and be able to demonstrate well developed decision making skills.
