Geological Systems Analyst

You are a tertiary qualified geologist with three to five years experience preferably in a coal exploration environment. You possess a sound understanding of geological data acquisition as well as Aquire modeling software. In this role you will be joining a boutique mining Management Company that has the backing of arguably one the country's most progressive and resourceful mining company.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be involved in the feasibility study for an underground coal mine. Once you have successfully implemented a new database system, you will ultimately be responsible for the development and integrity of the geological model. Additionally, your day to day responsibilities will include the collection, analysis, correlation, interpretation and presentation of geological and geophysical data; planning, implementation and supervision of drilling and exploration programs in conjunction; production of resource statements as required; and field assistance in core logging and geological mapping as required.
