Design Engineer - Chip/Integrated Circuit/MOS

An industry leader in mixed-signal integrated circuitry has an immediate opening in its Austin Texas location for a Senior Analog/Mixed Signal Design Engineer. You will play a key role in the development of mixed signal ICs for consumer and professional broadcast equipment, as well as provide technical leadership for the entire chip or significant portions of the chip. This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative engineer.

Responsibilities:

-> Take lead role in product definition
-> Provide technical leadership
-> Assist establishment of product test methodology
-> Continuous improvement of the design methodology
-> Integrated circuit design, layout and debug
-> Mentor some junior designers

Requirements:

-> Minimum of 5 to 10 years design experience in mixed signal and/or RF IC design
-> MS in Electrical Engineering. Ph.D a plus
-> Excellent knowledge of MOS transistors and analog circuit design
-> Experience of having introduced at least one product to market as a chip lead
-> Time and frequency domains analysis
-> Behavioral modeling using high level languages (e.g. matlab, C)
-> Circuit design skills in: RF (LNAs, Mixers, PLLs), IF (Filters, VGAs, Opamps, Drivers), Mixed signal (ADCs, DACs), DC Bandgaps, bias circuits), and high speed digital
