Position Duties

* Assist new and existing clients to achieve their objectives through the provision of responsible and ethical environmental consultancy advice and services
* To assist environment services in WA in a sustainable way
* Assist the WA Environment team leader in the sustainable development of our national environment services

Key Responsibilities

* Provide integrated professional services to clients
* Prepare expressions of interest, and proposals to secure projects
* Manage projects within agreed financial, quality and time parameters
* Build and sustain mutually beneficial long term relationships with clients
* Maintain and update professional knowledge and skills

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Completion of a recognised degree in an appropriate discipline, preferably with a focus in botany or equivalent;
- A minimum of five years experience with an appropriate level of plant identification skills in WA will be looked upon favourably;
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the WA and Commonwealth environmental legislative and policy context;
- Demonstrated communication skills including written, oral and report writing experience;
- Ability to market companies capabilities and attract new business;
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement projects, delivery high quality outputs and manage budgets;
- Constructive and participative contribution to teams
- Demonstrated understanding and implementation of experimental design and statistical analysis;

Key Challenges

- Evolving the environment team in WA from a small base, to form an important part of WA operations and national environment team.
- Servicing a mix of internal and external clients. The internal clients primarily do project planning, design, construction for land development, water, wastewater, transportation, highways, civil, infrastructure, mining projects. The external clients may require only environmental services or could provide opportunities for other services.
- Provide environmental services within a multidisciplinary engineering and environmental context, and within WA, national and international contexts
