The Mine Controller and Superintendent of Administration is responsible for the effective management of the Financial and Administration Departments and will provide leadership in planning, organizing, directing and controlling the financial and administrative activities involved with the mine & mill complex. This will include key functions such as IT, HR, purchasing, warehousing, site accounting and other critical administrative and operational functions. The Mine Controller will be a part of the Mine Management Team. The Mine Controller will also be responsible for the continued development and implementation the necessary control systems and reporting procedures as well as timely reporting to the corporate office.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Finance, Administration or other equivalent degree. A Chartered Accounting designation is very desirable. They will have minimum of 5+ years of management experience, preferably in a mining environment. Strong financial management and cost control experience along with experience in setting up systems and managing critical support functions in an operating environment. This is a leadership position with significant budgetary responsibilities, direct cost control leadership and oversight of multiple operations.
This is a rotational position. Accommodation and living expenses at site are covered by the company as is travel to and from the candidates home base. The company offers an attractive, comprehensive compensation package for the position.
