Planner Scheduler - Maintenance/Paper/Pulp

A stable and busy paper mill located in Northern Wisconsin has an immediate need for a long term contract Maintenance Planner to fill in while the incumbent is on special assignment. This position will last for 18 months and provides mob/demob and per diem. Regional candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities:

-> The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the detailed planning, scheduling, and coordination of safety, manpower, parts/equipment, materials, and time requirements involved in the maintenance of a wide range of equipment in a complex mill operation
-> Act as the principal contact and liaison between maintenance, mill operations, and other supported departments
-> Build job plans, develop shutdown schedules, developing weekly job lists, follow up and modification on individual jobs, analyzing incoming work orders, determining job requirements, maintaining key performance indicators, and maintaining essential records
-> Lead and direct 5 direct reports

Requirements:

-> A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Technology is preferred
-> Five to 7 years experience in maintenance planning and scheduling in an industrial environment
-> Experienced with using JD Edwards software as a tool
-> Previous supervisory experience
-> The availability to commit to an 18 month assignment
-> Experience in a pulp and paper mill highly preferred
