To develop and administer a comprehensive environment protection programs in compliance with the local, State and international regulations that ensures a safe, healthy environment where the company's assets are secure and protected. To provide operations and development groups with technical support to complete core production, process, and construction activities on schedule and within budget.
Knowledge Skills and Experience Appropriate engineering degree (chemical, mechanical, civil) from a recognised university. Post graduate study leading to licences / certification from professional EHS institutions or Masters degree in a related subject an advantage. Broad technical and commercial knowledge related to the oil and gas industry both onshore and offshore for at least 10 years. At least 10 years experience with world-class organization in EHS area at a senior level. Familiar with working and making timely, accurate assessments in a multi national setting. Able to use good communication skills in motivating / influencing people to achieve results. Able to analyze complex technical data. Computer literate in environmental models, spreadsheets, word processing, graphics. Able to influence attitudes and behaviours toward Environment priorities in work situations.
RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) is one of the premier integrated liquefied natural gas (LNG) enterprises in the world. Since its creation in 1993, RasGas has developed world class facilities for the extraction, storage, processing and export of LNG, and has entered into long term agreements to supply LNG to customers in Korea, India, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Taiwan and the United States of America. RasGas currently operates six LNG trains with 20.7 million tones per annum (Mta) of production capacity. It is expected that production will be approximately 37 Mta by 2009 with the completion of seven trains.
