THE ROLE
A major international oil and gas operating company has requested CCL to provide a Senior Subsea Contract Specialist. Position is based in Houston area (on local conditions / not expat). Client will consider permanent or contract basis and prefers candidates resident within easy travelling distance of office. Good prospects. Attractive daily rates / package negotiable dependent on experience. This vacancy is being handled by our Houston office.
THE PERSON
Candidate will have held previous role as Senior Contracts Specialist / or experienced in Team Leader roles, this is a MANDATORY requirement. Experienced in SUBSEA design / construction operations, legal, contracts, finance, procurement and contracts management background, with both departmental and major projects specific background. Should have the ability to analyze tenders in the identification of risks and methods of allocation, ability to manage contracts in terms of commercial awareness, risk awareness, reporting requirements, etc. ability to negotiate effectively with customers, contractors and competitors and ability to establish professional relationships / earn respect of customer, third party contract & procurement personnel and associated departments.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Ideal candidate will be well educated and have a degree in Business Management, Engineering, Law, Finance, or equivalent qualifications and experience. Should have good leadership and negotiating skills, and an ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organisational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and strong communication and presentation skills including fluent written and spoken English. Must be eligible to live and work in the USA.
