THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a leading Oil & Gas Energy company to provide a Senior Internal Communications Advisor. Occasional travel to other project locations and Kazakhstan. Contract duration one year (renewable). Position is residential 5/2. Excellent daily rates.
THE PERSON
Minimum 5 years internal communications, corporate communications, journalism or related experience. Some knowledge of O&G industry, internal communications, etc. Extensive experience of investigating news, conducting interviews and writing articles. Experience of working in an intensely multi cultural environment. Provide support in delivering communications channels, including video production and staff events and briefings, managing a calendar of communications activities, writing and editing materials including corporate publications and intranet contents. Coordinate staff engagement programmes and organise activities primarily for Kazakhstan-based staff. Provide support to Head of Internal Communications in facilitation / development of cultural, sports and learning activities for staff. Under the direction of the line manager will help ensure that personnel in Kazakhstan and abroad are well informed about the companys activities, plans and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Degree may be a technical one for the right skills set. Managerial experience (i.e. we expect the professionalism of being able to manage tasks, but not necessarily budget). Knowledge of internal communication tools (e.g. portals, intranet, electronic data banks etc.). Knowledge of instruments and techniques for information management, and relevant norms, acquired in courses, on job training etc. Knowledge of sensibilization tools. Knowledge of systems for culture development. Communication systems, instruments, and techniques to inform, guide, and motivate workers. Fluent in written and spoken English. Russian language ability is valuable but cultural sensitivity may be perceived as more important.
