Shutdown Planner (6 Month Contract) - Oil, Gas, Petrochemical Plant

Our Client, has an urgent requirement for a Shutdown Planner for a six (6) month contract to coordinate the major refinery shutdown for next year. The Shutdown Planner is expected to take the lead in managing the planning phases of the petrochemical plant shutdown / turnaround.

The phases and the specific jobs are the following:

* WORKLIST DEFINITION - Generate a list of work
Specify all task requirements

* TASK PLANNING - Coordinate with technical personnel to define and produce required job methods
Define materials, special tools, equipment, spare parts and consumables
Define resource requirements
Define and organize all bulk work

* WORK SCHEDULING - Produce job networks
Input networks into schedule
Optimize the schedule
Final run the schedule
Produce control document

* EXECUTION CONTROL - Monitor progress and performance
Update schedule regularly
Plan and integrate emergent work

* PLANNING REVIEW - Debrief to gain learning
Review methods and schedule
Modify plan for future us
Standardize all repeatable jobs

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

* Mechanical Engineer with minimum 5 years of proven and continuous experience as a Shutdown Planner preferably in oil & gas refinery and/or petrochemical processing plants

Or

* Trades Certificate with 10 years of proven experience as a Shutdown Planner preferably in oil & gas refinery and/or petrochemical processing plants
* Knowledge on industry Standards and HSSE policies and able to apply these on turnaround plans
* Able to operate and utilize Primavera P6 project planning software
* Comfortable in working with multi-national workforce
* Can work under minimum supervision.
* Team worker

This is a six month duration contract role through JDA/Wokman Port Moresby with conditions of employment to include a FIFO roster of 6 weeks on 2 weeks off, accommodation and meals provided on site and remuneration to be discussed at interview stage.
