Senior Consulting Mining Engineer

Our client is an international consultancy offering a range of services to an impressive global client base. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Mining Engineer to join their Brisbane office in the capacity of Senior Consulting Mining Engineer – Coal. In this role you will support a team of senior consulting professionals working on underground and open cut coal mining projects and will:

* participate in multi-disciplinary due diligence and feasibility study teams,
* primarily be responsible for completing mine design and planning, production modelling and scheduling, operating and,
* capital cost estimation, economic evaluation and report writing for a range of Australian and International projects.

You will be a degree qualified professional with the following attributes:

* 5 to 15 years experience
* Preference for previous exposure to both operational and technical roles
* Strong technical skills
* Advanced level of computer literacy and the ability to analyse data
* High standards of written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, and
* Well developed numeracy and report writing capability being essential.
