Flare & Relief Systems in Upstream & Downstream Petroleum Processing
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Company is seeking an Engineering Specialist with extensive experience in Flare & Relief Systems in Upstream & Downstream Petroleum processing. As a recognized company expert in this filed, you will provide professional advice and guidance to Company organizations, outside vendors, manufacturers, and design firms relating to flare & relief systems.
Essential Job Functions: Incumbent will originates and carries out engineering studies to determine potential problems and remedies to existing problems resolve complex technical problems, increase revenue, optimize processes, and protect the environment or improve safety. Incumbent will develops and maintains Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards and Design Best Practices, Design manuals or other documentation specific to the area of Flare & Relief Systems to enhance company profitability, safety and productivity. Incumbent will introduce new technologies from all over the world to help the company achieve/maintain the best in class position in oil and gas. Incumbent will provide technical input on flare & relief systems to Project Management, operating organizations, vendors, manufacturers and design firms, etc. Incumbent will conduct seminars, technical exchange meetings, attend conferences, write papers and develop training programs. SELECTION CRITERIA: BS Engineering (major Chemical Engineering) with Ten (10) years of professional experience (Advanced Degree preferred with Major in Chemical Engineering). Field experience including three years as an engineer in responsible charge of technical work in the field of flare & relief systems of major plants which should include Petroleum refineries or Gas processing plants or Gas Oil separation plants, pipelines. Incumbent must be proven expert within industry recognition through activities in professional societies and industrial organizations such as API, DIERS and others. Incumbent should have an excellent knowledge of process simulation software packages such as FLARENET/FLARESIM/HYSYS/PROII. Proven written and verbal skills in developing and presenting technical reports. Incumbent should possess excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with willingness to impart knowledge across the company.
