Due to the current resurgence in confidence and increase in feasibility and funding, we are looking to fill two positions in Commercial Management for a client who have maintained and delivered their corporate goals and growth margins amidst challenging markets.

With their focus now on maintaining high order book levels and working in emerging and diverse markets, there is now a need to secure the services of experienced Commercial Manager.

You will lead and develop a team through pre-construction and delivery responsible for payment, budgetary planning, administering both the head contract and subcontracts, maintaining control of all financial and contracted, progress claims, EOI's, manage procurement processes and practices, supply agreements, cost and budget reporting, service provision and related commercial aspects of the project. You will also have experience of risk evaluation and management, demonstrate excellent costing skills and management planning. Exposure to a variety of forms of contract from D&C to PPP will be well valued across all Civil Construction disciplines.

A demonstrated track record in contract administration and construction contracts analysis is essential allowing you to manage establishing budgets, preparation of contracts for construction, project reporting, establishing financial controls, and contractual correspondence. You will also be a mature leader within a team environment with excellent negotiation and issue resolution skills and be comfortable liaising with sub-contractors. With such a complex project, it is essential the project cost is tracked and maintained to plan. Preferably you will be able to read and apply Bills of Quantities and display contractual awareness.

It is essential that you have relevant Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or Legal/Accounting/Commerce discipline. You will also have a minimum of 10 years experience within a similar Cost Engineering role, working with multi-million dollar Civil and/or Mining Infrastructure projects and budgets.
