Location: Saudi Arabia MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: BS Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or related major. Experience: (10-15) years planning and scheduling experience including five (5) years in either petro-chemical, construction, heavy or high technology industries, should be an expert in planning, scheduling and project control systems. OR Education: Certified by institute of building, HNC, HND, in the areas of Planning & Scheduling & Project Administration Experience: Fifteen (15) years responsible planning and scheduling experience including six (6) years in either petro-chemical, construction, heavy or high technology industries, should be recognized as an expert in planning, Scheduling and Project Control systems. Must be able to communicate fluently in oral and written English.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out planning and scheduling in a professional manner in accordance with Saudi Armco standards. Job responsibilities are related to the execution of major capital projects in support of the Company's Capital Program. Included are analysis and evaluation of proposed project exaction, resource requirements and potential impacts at the project & program levels. Plans & provides work direction as required for the preparation of planning and scheduling control systems and other practices to give Engineering and Construction supervisors means to evaluate and improve the efficiency of their project execution. Provides staff guidance to Engineering and Construction supervisors in one or more areas of planning and scheduling expertise by analyzing and evaluating all pertinent data. Reviews work of scheduling analysts under his direction, checks the reports and data developed are in accordance with established methods and requirements & makes recommendations for future study or revisions. Approves work for transmittal to supervisor. Analyzes major capital projects to plan the most effective execution sequence in light of experience and current industry practices. Discusses, coordinates and resolves long term and short term planning and scheduling problems with personnel throughout the company and with contractor organization. Acts as technical consultant when required. Assists in the technical evolution of contracts relative to their expertise in planning and scheduling and analyzes in detail performance. Evaluates the planning and scheduling information collected from Project Management teams or contractors and advises management of exceptions to the plan and potential corrective action and / or impact to the project. Provides staff assistance in the preparation and maintenance of the master scheduling system in support of the capital program planning effort and / or other planning and scheduling reports, procedures and services. Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness and appropriateness of planning and scheduling information collected from project teams or contractors and advises of significant exceptions to proposed and approved conditions and recommends corrective actions. Assists in or initiates orientation and training of Scheduling Analysts.
